Is one day enough time for a rental tuxedo place to fit a tux?

My fiance and I are getting married in Las Vegas. We will have one full day to see the city before our wedding day. I am buying a dress but, my groom is going to be renting a tux. When we go to rent one, do they just have tuxes and you pick one and that’s it? Or do you get it fitted? How does it work and how long does it take?

Most tux places do not have a lot of tuxes in stock. Usually they will order the tuxes from a distribution center for the tuxes that they need for prom, weddings, homecoming, etc.

For the most part, the men will send in their suit measurements in to the tux place before the event. The tux place will order the tux from their central distribution center. The guys just pick up their tuxes and go…no alterations.

In terms of the measurements, it is very common for men to go to their nearest tux rental place to get measured. The tux place will write the measurements on a card for the guy to fax to the store where the tux will actually be rented from.
